Rise n’ Shine was one of six beneficiaries of the 4th Annual Seattle Red Dress Party this year and the event was a complete success! Fremont Studios was transformed into an extraordinary space dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the HIV/AIDS movement as well as building a strong and unified LGBT community. Over 1,000 guests donned red dresses for the party including performer, Deborah Cox, who was introduced by Gaysha Starr. With an amazing performance by Deborah Cox it’s no wonder that this year’s event was the largest LGBT party in Seattle!

Rise n’ Shine staff and volunteers diligently worked behind the scenes to get ready for the event and help raise additional funds: Brown Paper Tickets volunteers handled 600 guests who arrived through general admission, Danica Smith and Mandy Domer answered questions about the organization at the Rise n’ Shine booth, Tom Hunter and staff helped to stuff over 200 VIP bags, and Chanel Prineas of Tied Up and Joan Kelly sold headbands to help raise money for our kids.
We would like to thank everyone that helped to make this event a success. We couldn’t have done it without you!
